My Latest Book Binge

Let's admit it, I love books. I can always stick my nose in a good book from time to time. My favorite types of books are lifestyle, mystery, and horror. (Surprising, huh?) I don't mind a good Nicholas Sparks book once in awhile, but I'm not big on the romance novels. I recently made a large Amazon purchase and bought tons of books. These have been on my wishlist for awhile, but I finally broke down and bought them. I'm a huge fan of lifestyle books and hearing about people's backstories, so these were definitely a must. I also bought a few books to help me on my blogging journey, so I'm very excited to read those!

1. Essentially Lilly: A Guide to Colorful Entertaining - Lilly Pulitzer and Jay Mulvaney

I'm sure y'all know I'm obsessed with Lilly Pulitzer, so this book was a must. It's no longer sold in stores, so the only way to purchase it is used. It's full of old photos and inspiration that hopefully I can incorporate into my life.

2. LIKEtoKNOW.it: Stories from the Influencer Next Door

I've literally wanted this book ever since it came out and it's finally mine! I'm a huge fan of the app and have so many favorite influencers. I absolutely love this book because it gives so many stories about each influencer's life! It's very inspiring to hear about their backstories and motivation in life! I highly recommend this book for anyone who loves fashion!

3. All in Good Taste - Kate Spade

The cover of this book is so cute! I'm honestly not entirely sure what it's about, but it seems like it's full of recipes, fashion tips, mannerisms, and much more! Not going to lie, I definitely bought it for the look! (Shhh.... don't tell anyone!)

4. Whiskey in a Teacup - Reese Witherspoon

I'm sure many of you have seen this book out lately; it's fairly new. It's basically about Reese growing up in the south and sharing her life lessons. She's such a successful and beautiful actress, that I can't wait to learn more about her life. Sweet Home Alabama is definitely my favorite movie of her's!

5. Kate Spade Trilogy (Manners, Occasions, and Style) - Kate Spade

This series is a set of 3 and each book focuses on a different topic. One is manners, one is occasions, and the other is style. Each book gives you tips and tricks to looking good while throwing the perfect party. Of course we all need to do it with poise and grace, so that's what "Manners" is for. Each book is short, but it gives you an insight into the focus of that time period. (I'm not exactly sure what year these were published)

6. Influencer: Building Your Personal Brand in the Age of Social Media - Brittany Hennessy

I first learned about this book from Kelly Prepster on YouTube, and thought it would be beneficial to read. There is so much involved with social media, that we tend to overlook little things that could be important in growing a business. As I read this book, I'll be bookmarking tips that I would like to implement into my blogging.

7. Lifestyle Blogging Basics - Laura Lynn

This book is very small, but it gives a good insight into starting a blog. It's definitely designed for beginners, but there are still a lot of tips to think about. The author is from Grand Rapids, which is in my home state, so I love learning about her journey. It's definitely comforting to know that people in my state can become successful with hardwork.

8. Cupcakes and Cashmere - Emily Schuman

How cute is the cover?! It's absolutely adorable! I definitely didn't buy this one for the cover though. As I get older, I'll be having more dinners, girls' nights, and family gatherings. This book gives you tips to help organize your life and entertain with ease. The less stress on your life, the happier you'll be.

9. The Year of Cozy - Rianna Adarme

This book is about learning how to make your best life. It's full of inspiration for recipes, crafts, and exploring the world. This is the perfect book for anyone who's looking to be inspired and try some new things!

10. Pretty Fun - Kate Hudson

I've always been a fan of Kate Hudson, so this was definitely on my list. She's always super bubbly and optimistic, so she shares ways to share a smile, while having fun. There are many traditions in life that we tend to stray from over the years, but she tries to keep these alive for all.

11. Essentially Lilly: A Guide to Colorful Holidays - Lilly Pulitzer and Jay Mulvaney

This book is similar to the other Lilly book I mentioned, but the focus is on holidays. It is also no longer sold in stores and can only be purchased used. Traditions have definitely changed since this book was published, so it will be exciting to see the growth over the years!

12. Instastyle - Tezza

As someone who isn't always the best at photography, I definitely purchased this one to help me with my blog. It's full of tips and tricks for creating the best photos for instagram. I take all of my photos with my iPhone, so I'm hoping to learn new ways to create amazing pics!

13. Girl, Wash Your Face - Rachel Hollis

Rachel focuses on becoming your best self. In life, we often compare ourselves to others or believe the things people say we should be. Well, Rachel helps us break these thoughts and become the person we're meant to be.
